What is a Habitat ReStore?
A ReStore is a non-profit retail store that accepts donations of new and gently used items from individuals and businesses in our community and sells those items to the public at a reduced cost, usually 50-70 percent of the original retail value. All proceeds go toward building Habitat homes with the local Habitat affiliate.
Our Goals are to:
- Generate cash flow to support the Habitat’s home building program in Greater Lowell
- Provide the community with a source for affordable home improvement materials
- Be Green! …we keep usable building materials out of local area landfills
- Provide an excellent opportunity for individuals & groups to volunteer!
The Habitat ReStore is an ambitious project and we need the help of many to be successful in continuing our goal of providing affordable housing and critical home repairs in the Greater Lowell area. It’s all about ‘giving back’ and we invite to click DONATE * SHOP * VOLUNTEER and see where you can be of assistance.
The ReStore is part of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell. We are a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry seeking to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness around the world.
Our mission is to make decent housing a matter of conscience. Our affiliate carries out the Habitat mission in the Greater Lowell community, by inviting people from all walks of life to work together in partnership to help build houses with families in need. Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety.
